Club
For anyone who has or may want a pet bird or just to learn about them.
Meetings held monthly in Brainerd, MN.
Our Goals
Education: We go to schools and provide sessions for kids about birds. We discuss their backgrounds, care and responsibilities of ownership. We also provide expos for people in the community to get an up close look at birds. These are provided free of charge to the school and attendees.
Rescue: We have taken in several rescue birds as a group(several members also do rescue). These birds have always found a home with a member of our group.
Friendship: We have monthly meetings at Oak Lawn Town Hall the 3rd Thursday of every month. We have a business meeting followed by an information session on a bird species. We encourage people to ask questions as almost every type of bird has been owned by someone in our group. There is no cost for membership.
Networking: We have bird fairs, generally twice a year to allow vendors to come in and sell their birds or bird related products. It also allows people from the community to come and find anything their bird can need and possibly a new friend as well. We have supplies from cages to feed to toys and a variety of birds for sale.
